Artist Statement
Tyler Smith is a sculptor, illustrator, and educator. His teaching credits include Rhode Island School of Design, Miami International University of Art & Design, the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, Nova Southeastern University, and Broward College, where he is presently teaching Art Appreciation, Art History, 3D Design, Figure Drawing, and Computer Art. As the resident set designer for the FLCT Theatre, he also maintains a freelance career that spans 25 years, art directing, designing special effects, and sometimes performing in movies, music videos, and plays.
