Biography
Myrna Meeroff, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, has been a faculty member at Broward College since 1999. Ms. Meeroff is currently principal horn of the New Philharmonic Orchestra and solo horn with the Florida Chamber Orchestra. An avid soloist, she has recorded two solo albums and performed for audiences all over the world. She gave her first solo performance at the age of 14 and her first European tour at the age of 21. In 2002 she became the first instrumental winner of the Rising Star International Solo Competition, earning her a Carnegie Hall debut. To further her commitment to musical education, she founded Interactive Opera, an opera company that encourages audience participation, in 2008 with help from a grant from the Broward Cultural Commission.
